Product Overview
The Caster Bushing Tapered ID Brass is used in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. This material is made up of brass which holds well with automotive parts as well as several medical equipment. Brass bushings are often used on the propeller shaft. Another benefit is that brass does not rust, therefore it is an ideal metal for a marine environment. Some marine bushings are a two-part design. They have an outer shell made of steel, and an inner bushing pressed in made out of brass that rides against the shaft. The reason for this is that steel is stronger than brass, and an outer shell of steel will take the stresses. An inner shell made out of brass will take the rotating shaft. These bushings are called brass back composite bearings. Made out of melted copper and zinc, it becomes harder than any of the base metals, and it holds its shape well while remaining workable. When it comes in contact with steel machine shafts, it will not bind to steel because it is a dissimilar metal. Because of these attributes, brass makes an ideal metal for bushings. This is used in Table based Kit-LCC/Signa Insightec, front support assembly, rear support assembly and many other equipment as applicable. The part is diligently designed for superior performance and reliability. It is securely packed inside a high quality packing box to avoid physical damage during transit and labeled with details about the product, Quality Assurance (QA) seal and shipment details.
